With Misty Moon, Mia Tarkela and Olli Aarni craft delicate, nocturnal pop tunes for the romantics of the world. Each song is love distorted through a lo-fi lens – both heavy and lilting, dizzying and grounding. It’s an album best suited for crooning at the moon.

Misty Moon is a band of two lovers named after the best dog ever. Nu-Moon was recorded over a span of three or so years in our living room and in Olli’s tiny closet studio under fairy lights. The songs came to us from improvisation on two keyboards and a drum machine. Mia (Tarkela) wrote the lyrics through improvised singing on the tracks. Olli (Aarni) did his mixing magic. These songs are inspired by our romance and supernatural phenomena. Listen after dark.
