Veli-Matti ”Läjä” Äijälä (born 29 September 1958) is a Finnish musician, comics artist and a poet. He is best known as the singer and primary songwriter of the legendary hardcore punk band Terveet Kädet. Aavikon kone ja moottori is an experimental electronic industrial solo project of Läjä Äijälä. Aavikon kone ja moottori was active in 1979-1980 in Tornio (Finland), and during the time it released two single-sided 7″s.  The cult famed singles were re-issued by Joteskii Groteskii and Vauva Records in 2014 as a one two sided 7” with a pressing of 500 copies.
